What IS merroir?
Good question. Well, it’s a term that comes from the French word for “sea” combined with “terroir,” which means the natural factors that influence flavor. You won’t find a merroir as cool and clear as the waters that flow around Prince Edward Island. It imparts the perfect balance of fresh, clean taste with just the right hint of satisfying salinity into our mussels and oysters.
Perfection is just in our nature.
We don’t want to brag. Well, maybe just a little. But that’s only because our love for Prince Edward Island and the mussels and oysters we produce runs deep. From the aforementioned merrior to our dedicated fishers and growers, Prince Edward Island is a special place with a proud tradition of harvesting and sharing some of the world’s most deliciously distinctive oysters and mussels.
